Jon Kabat Zinn

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, intentionally, without judgment, and with an attitude of curiosity and care.

It’s about stepping out of autopilot, reconnecting with ourselves, and the world around us. It is about being aware and fully present in our live.

Through regular practice, mindfulness can help us develop valuable skills for well-being, such as:
- training our attention over time to be more present and focused (mindfulness helps us to notice when our mind wanders and gently bring it back)
- learning how to pause and noticing what's happening inside us during challenging situation, to respond with greater wisdom instead reacting automatically
- cultivating appreciation: the mind often gets stuck on what’s wrong in our day, in our life. Mindfulness helps us rebalance this by noticing what’s going well, even in small ways

Scientific research shows that people who practice mindfulness regularly tend to experience greater awareness, appreciation, and well-being. Mindfulness offers practical support to cope effectively with the stresses of our modern, fast-paced lives. Further explanations and research on mindfulness can be found on the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation website.

Marie-Claire, FR

“I discovered mindfulness with Julie. Mindfulness can be practiced easily at any time of the day. It doesn’t take much time. With regular practice, it becomes well integrated and allows you to enjoy its benefits, helping you feel more serene. Julie is attentive to each participant. Her class is well structured, and she has a pleasant voice"

Veronique, FR

"I really appreciated these classes. Between the meditation sessions and the explanations that give true meaning to the practice, Julie was a real source of motivation. The course brings serenity, calm, and a return to what truly matters— to feel better within oneself, and therefore better with others."

Elena, LU

"Julie’s sessions helped me reconnect with mindfulness practices I was already familiar with, and also discover new ones. I really enjoyed the way she led the sessions—it was calming in itself and allowed for a gentle, smooth learning experience."

Audrey, FR

“This introductory mindfulness program with Julie was a little bubble of well-being, with very interesting concepts such as grounding and the breathing space."

About the course

This course consists of three one-hour sessions, held weekly online in a group setting with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 participants.

Each session builds on the previous one and explores a specific theme, designed to support you in your everyday life:

  • Session 1: Understanding the mind’s natural tendency to be scattered and to wander; how we can train attention to create choices about where and how we place attention, and how this can fundamentally shape our experience

  • Session 2: Exploring different ways of being and knowing; recognising how much of our experience is shaped by thought; that other more experiential and observing modes are also available to us, and how we can learn to use them to help us flourish over time

  • Session 3: Recognising the difference between reacting and responding; developing ways to create the space to make choices between them, and exploring how this understanding can shape our experience and the quality of our lives

Each session is followed by suggestions for personal practice You will have access to guided practices (audio recordings) and written material to support each session.
